IT WILL BE PART OF A SERIES OF TALKS IN THE AUTUMN ABOUT SERVICES PROVIDED FOR PEOPLE WITH PARKINSON'S

Grace Ogden, Campaigns and Engagement Lead at Parkinson’s UK will be talking about the work she does for better benefits, health and social care services.
Parkinson’s UK as a charity work to improve the lives of people with Parkinson’s, their families, friends, carers and even their healthcare professionals. While the charity delivers services and direct support- they also have a team of volunteers and staff who campaign for better services.
Their campaigns come from the Parkinson’s UK community, who highlight problems with the delivery of services, standards of care, or treatment of people with Parkinson’s. They can take the form of petitions, letters to decision makers, lobbying Parliament, responding to consultations, protests, or whatever the team of volunteers and staff come up with together. They do this locally in communities and nationally across the UK.
Grace will talk about her team and their recent work on social care, training for healthcare professionals, access to treatment, how you can get involved and she’ll take your questions too. She’s keen to hear what else Parkinson’s UK should be working on so don’t be afraid to come with ideas!
